Alaska 2011 July-Aug

It was a good fishing season this summer in Seward, Alaska. We ran trips everyday that the weather would allow. I got so buys catching fish that I was unable to keep up the fishing reports. Seward Halibut was once again, unstoppable! There was not but a few days that we did not get the boat limit for Halibut this summer. We landed many Seward Alaska Halibut in the 80-150lb range you can see the video at www.youtube.com/fishsewardalaska video name Seward Halibut 2010. Please check it out there are some great Alaska Halibut on this video.

Seward Alaska Lingcod fishing was also great, the Lingcod opener was on July 1st, we are allowed to keep any Lingcod over 36in, the limit is one Lingcod per/person. We got some good video of these bad boys also. www.youtube.com/fishsewardalaska video name Seward Alaska Lingcod 2010.

The Salmon season was ok, but it started off slow offshore peaked in July offshore. The Salmon came into the bay for a short time, we had many days where we filled the boat with Seward Alaska Silver Salmon, but the season was far from the best we have had. Bad weather conditions were to blame and the slow salmon season was felt by the whole state of Alaska.

The Rockfish was crazy good; we had plenty of full boat days on light action rods. This was a great Seward Rockfish season.
