I would have to say WOW July was great the weather worked with us and the fish, well their on the stringer. The Salmon the Halibut and the Rockfish all ended up in the freezer, I can’t wait to see how this next month will turns out. Today my man Fly Bob brought some friends we focused on filling the fish box and we succeeded. And yes, he used his fly rod and boated all his fish on flies.

Everyday is a great day for fishing today my wife Jennifer and my oldest boy DJ came up to visit. DJ will be deck handing for me the rest of this month. We caught lots of fish and had a huge Halibut take one girl for a long ride before she lost the fish at the boat; it was a great day for fishing. I was fishing next to a good fried and captain Justin from the boat Just-N-Time he was lucky enough to land this huge fish, I am putting this pick up so you can get an Idea of the one we lost at the boat.

I am often asked “I can’t fish will I have fun”? Or “my family does not have much fishing experience is that ok’? All I say is YES, we want you to come to Alaska and have the thrill of a lifetime no matter what your experience level is. Today this young man landed his first Halibut and he taught everyone in his family how it was done.

Tomorrow is the last day to fish the Russian River for Salmon, and these guys have got it booked-n-hooked. The hike is about 2.5 miles in to the fishing spot, you catch more fish in a small stream then you ever thought could fit in a huge river.

Fly Bob did it he got his Lingcod on a fly rod, but his buddy landed this halibut on a salmon rod and 20lb test line. Keep trying Bob.
